Got this meme from a recent ‘No Agenda’ podcast which references a Fareed Zakaria program on CNN. Apparently, Icelanders want a clean slate (no, not an Ipad!) as far as their constitution is concerned. Citizens are encouraged to use the Internet and social media tools to participate in the exercise by sending in their comments and suggestions. What a truly democratic process! This is progressive to say the least. Especially considering that Iceland’s constitution is a few centuries old and thus has much more of a tradition than the one penned by Thomas Jefferson and cronies.
